Or feel free to ignore me I'll fuck off eventually.

Ode to Gamers
Oct. 7th, 2009 | 12:05 am
With Crowbars raised
We sing the praise,
Of gamers through and through.
With Chainsaws prized
We salute the high
OIf sawing a demon in two.
To those who finish the fight,
Night after Night,
And still come back for more.
The heroes grace
Of a continual race
Forever into the morn.
To Warlocks and warriors true,
And the stealthy ninja;
Who shives you.
The atomic waste,
of a distant place,
That seems forever cruel.
The liberation or condemnation,
Of races, creeds and crew.
An Unreal world,
Where morality is blind
With no consequence to you.
Fame or Infamy,
The choice you make
That matters so little to you.
The lucky ones who can kill and run;
Because on screen it's all good fun.
Halo, Fallout, Gears, Doom, WOW, and some other games all contributed to this poem. Hours of my life spent in front of a screen shooting Pixels; digital killing, murder for the masses.

Update
Sep. 20th, 2009 | 11:41 am
On a brighter note I'm currently looking at volunteering, I don't mind volunteering and am currently trying to find as many voluntary opportunities as possible. I'm also planning on applying to do a social work MA so volunteering is the definite first foot forward.
Other than that I have been amusing myself by Reading Shakespeare and working through an A level maths textbook (the maths is taking a lot longer than the Shakespeare).

I'm applying to join the samaritans as a listening volunteer, and I need two referees. I have one from work I have done for the University, but the problem is putting down my academic tutor would be fruitless as he doesn't really know me so I only have one good referee.
Could any of you help me?

I spent the longest day of the year underground with a mini AK 47 and darkness. It was truly amazing especially when they turned the lights off :). Hiding in a toilet cubicle waiting for people to walk past so you can shoot them in the back is so much fun. Especially when they decided to check the cubicle and talk about it for a few seconds before hand meaning I could identify how many, how well armed and whet sex they where.
If you want to hear more ask me about it and I'll go into a bouncy excited trance telling you how bloody amazing it was.
Next event I shall be attending is this:
www.firstandonlyairsoft.com/venues/the-m
Should be going in about six week with the Uni's air soft society. Only mall venue in the world for airsoft so the waiting list is long and they are open seven days a week.

I'm currently doing some dissertation work and on reading Wittgenstein I had a rather interesting thought. I was reading proposition 242 which states that 'If language is to be a means of communication there must be agreement not only in definition but also in Judgment'.
This is some respect is key to one of my arguments that claims religion cannot be a language game due to the fact that someone who plays the (proposed) religious language game can still critisise someone elses interpretation of, say, the trinity. If religion is to be a language game there cannot be disagreement in judgement, in this case how a proposition is judged. However there is disagreement in judgement hence religion cannot be a language game due to failing in one of the tenants of a language game.
While reading this and realising how important it was to one of my argument I asked myself the question where did Front 242 get the 242 bit from?
With the help of google I had my answer, or at least as possible answer as I have yet to verify if my findings are in fact true.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/United_Nati
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/242_(number)
If what I think is the answer is true then I believe this resolution is rather important in the current predicament in Israel and Gaza.
Mostly due to the controversy of the translation. By the look of it I would agree with "the" interpretation; mostly due to the example given by the solicitor:
Dogs should be kept on a lead while near the pond.
(if your now completly confuse you obviously haven't read the wiki article I strongly suggest you do)
Despite not having the prefix "the" the article is still the more suggestive of the all approach. All though the idea of "territories" can be seen in two ways i.e. choose the territories you want to leave or leave all territories. The article does suggest more of a leaning towards all territories as it does not stipulate territories but merely uses the word territories. I would continue but the argument I'm currently formulating would take a while to write and in the end this is a distraction, an interesting and highly informative one but a distraction none the less.
I just found this term of events uncanny and felt the need to blog. Uncanny due to the links I made being unexpected and surprisingly relevant to the current political climate.
So the conclusion of this piece is simple, we should all listen to more front 242 because it may be relevant to the current middle east situation, though there lyrics are relevant enough the name may add something; and in the end we should all listen to more front 242 because they are bloody awesome.
If I have got anything wrong in a way that makes you wince or I've just got something wrong feel free to post and tell me, I'll appreciate and it'll make me think that typing this was actually relevant and not a total waste of time.
If you made it this far I thank you for taking the time to read it, I do appreciate it. Sorry if it was a bit confusing but after spending the past few days thinking almost solidly about my dissertation and philosophy my mind now has a tendency to just slip in to philosophy mode with out even the slightest effort on my part. I'm now going to stop typing. Right here goes 3,2,1
Yeah I managed to stop!!!

Found this. There the band that pushed Madonna off the top spot, which probably isn't too hard. Anyhow this is German Techno with a lot of added comedy value.
Yes Tabs its comedy does give it an awesome rating.

music: Faces of Sarah
Quick notes: It's only a quick introduction, there is a lot more to the scene than people think.
It's half influenced by my view of the scene and others I have spoken too or stuff I've read off of the internet.
Comments are more than welcome, feel free to criticise.
I also plan on writing, or attempting to write a full history of the development of industrial, form an early experimental classical movement in the 1930's, throught Gristle and Neubaten and probably ending at combichrist , or whatever takes over from them. This however will take time and will be a lot more in depth.
Hope you enjoy it.
Industrial?
iron furnaces and giant factories
sprawling with workers. Few would be
aware of industrial as a semi-cultural
movement and music genre, outside the
alternative scene.
The Industrial scene, as it is sometimes called,
is indeed an alternative scene often in the same guise
as Goth. It is hard to explain in words but can
be broken down into clothing,
socialising and musical styles.
Music being the most paramount.
Musically Industrial began in the 1970’s as an
Avante Garde form of musical experimentation
Spurred on by new technology and
Older classical experiments often dubbed the art of noise.
Industrial is characterised by raw drum beats, voice sample,
loops, distortions and general noises.
Early experimental bands like Throbbing Gristle,
Cabaret Voltaire and Einstezude Neubaten
experimented with voice sample, distortions
and non normal beats. The art of noise is
one way to see industrial music.
The first few bands came out with a raw sound.
Neubaten being famous for recording everyday
sounds and using power tools to create music.
Throbbing Gristle would seem too many raw
and not easy listening in any sense of the word.
The first industrial bands got there influence
from many areas including Punk, that seemed to claim
that people can make music without knowing how
to play instruments, to funk.
Possibly the most well known band that are
regarded as industrial are Nine Inch Nails.
Trent Reznor took the sound of industrial bands
like Skinny Puppy and earlier bands
like Neubuaten and Gristle and turned
it into a more popular sound.
Few people outside of the alternative
scene would have heard of second wave
industrial bands like Skinny Puppy,
Cubanate and Front Line Assembly.
Keeping the original sound from the
first wave avant Garde bands
transformed industrial into its more modern incarnation.
beginning a subculture.
Industrial subculture in
related to its cousin Goth. The two subcultures,
despite each of there styles being distinct,
exist in harmony in the British underground scene.
Many club Flyers often read ‘Goth, Industrial, EBM, Bleep’.
Industrial like Goth is not merely a music style.
Like metal industrial has its own fans who dress
is some form of what would be described by the
mainstream as fashion. Industrial style ranges
from Rivet, mainly military style clothing like
combats, boots, jackets ECT.
Military style but lacking uniformity.
Also the style overlaps with Goth
with most wardrobes containing mostly black.
Industrial also has some form of ethos.
Industrial bands tend to show some form
of anger to the way the world is. Much like
there predecessors ‘the punks’ industrial is
a form of socio-political anger.
Anti-war, anti-fascism, anti-racism
and anti-authoritarianism, are ethos’s
that industrial music is based on.
Anger at the state of the world.
An anger that wants change.
Shock tactics are also common
with many bands like
lyrics being based around the idea of
dystopian futures where every move is watched.
Industrial has also spawned numerous
sub-genres like Noise, Bleep,
EBM (electric body music) and cyber.
These sub-genres seem to keep the
same spirit as earlier industrial bands.
EBM pioneers Front 242 use mainly
voice sample and have socio-political
lyrics focused on empire, religion,
economics and there negative effect on the world.
Industrial has had more of an effect on
culture that is often appreciated.
Rammestein, an industrial metal band, are
seen as one of the more mainstream bands
that portray an industrial style and ethos,
with ‘Du Hast’ meaning you hate.
Ministry and Rod Zombie being bands
that popularise the industrial style.
Industrial has also affected metal
with bands like Fear Factory and
Misery Loves Co supplying a
great blend of industrial music style and ethos.
Industrial is a large thing.
This article does not suppose authority
in the industrial music style or scene.
There is much to be said but due to the
lack of space and for the sake of
simplicity it has been left out.
Industrial is a worldwide scene
that has influence numerous more popular bands.
Industrial may have changed in style and become
more of a danceable music style but its
general style and underlying sound have
not changed since the days of Throbbing Gristle.
One thing seems to stem throughout the industrial ethos.
Seeing aesthetic in things others would reject,
everyday noises, screams, voices and even
run down factories all are part of the industrial aesthetic.
Industrial is too many still what the art
of noise was over 70 years ago, futuristic.
